Happy Halloween!

Went to the beach yesterday and to my surprise tons of friends from Santa Cruz were here. It seems that the tourney they were putting on happened anyway. No one here on Maui knew about it, there was no local advertising that I know of.

So, I walked up to the beach and saw old friends dying to play some vb. I, immediately began playing and played until I had to go. We had a fun day at the beach. The usual local gang was there today. Rotten, Ken H. and daughter, Rob, Sean R., Tom Hunter, Larry from Manhatten Beach and probably I have forgotten to mention here. The conditions were great and there will be games all week, due to the visitors being here.

TOOOOOO Windy!
Dropped by the court today around 12:30 Rob and Aaron were there but it was too windy to play. The sun was out, the island was beautiful but not good conditions for vb. Sean Rudesill showed up too getting a bit of last minute tan before he takes off to Santa Cruz for the 'Dink & Drive' if you have been there you will understand. Maybe Friday, folks!

Went to the court on Friday(10/6), Rob (Santa Cruz), Aaron, Sean R., and Paul from San Diego, Scott from Tucson, and Martin from Paris, all showed up to play. The sand is still pretty hot so socks are still recommended. We had some fun games as usual.

I have heard no word recently about the Maui 2000 Sports Festival. There is no advertising locally and it is supposed to be happening in less than 3 weeks. So, take your chances on it happening. For the sake of all involved I hope it does happen.
