This is probably my last post for 1999. It has been a great year playing ball here on Maui, I can't imagine anyplace I would rather be. I have made many good friends from the mainland over the years and this webpage is for them. I, greatly value all my friends. Bless you all for the coming years.

Ricardo and Kat Altieri were here. What a great surprise! I haven't seen them in about 3 years, it sure was good to see them again. Kimo Falconner and Ceeks came to the court also on Wednesday, good to see him too. Scot, Joe Bock, Ken Harris, Zeph and family, Adam and crew from Santa Cruz, Aaron, Miguel, Kevin, and others that I may have forgotten were all at the court. It was a beautiful day on Maui.

I love Maui at this time of the year, we get lots of good players visiting from the mainland and the weather is perfect for beach volleyball.

Lori Kemp is here from Oahu and playing ball. Max and Zeph are playing ball everyday with us, Brin is injured so not currently playing. The regulars are playing plus on Monday Pooky came down to play. It was good to see him. Dave Shields is playing a lot lately, and Kevin B. is back from the mainland though I haven't seen him yet. Joe Bock, Rob M. and his wife Betsy were all playing on Monday too. It was good to see all my friends again.

I still haven't seen Scot or his new keiki yet. Carri emails me occasionally and that is my only current contact. Doug, Michelle, Sara and Emily Rose will all be here on the 24th of Jan. Will be good to see them again also.. Mahalo's to Matt Gage and Wil Sharpe, Matt got us some new nets and will delivered them to us. We really needed them.. Now, we need another shipment of good balls, ours are getting beaten.

Announcing DUKE ROTTEN!

On December 22nd at 1:02 PM, Duke Rotten entered the world, tipping the scales at 7lb 9oz and 21 inches long. Duke is exactly like his father Scot, healthy, big appetite and "a good little guy"(mothers quote).

A heartfelt congratulations to the proud parents.

We have lots of players currently playing at the court. Steve R. is back, Max, Heidi, Zeph and Brin are also back. I hear that Adam and the crew are back from Santa Cruz, Herm took off for the mainland(madland) till maybe Feb. My daughters Marissa and Mallica will be here on the 30th(I can't wait).
So, as you might imagine we do have lots of games.. We will have to set up the 2nd court, I heard that the game wait was 9 games on Sunday. If you loose you might as well go home.
It is possible that Scotty is a new father today.. He left yesterday to go to meet his wife, I haven't heard yet if he is a dad again or not..
